Do you have architects, interior designers, and other specialists on staff at Elite Remodeling?

We do not have architects on staff, but we have relationships with some of the top architects and architectural firms in the area.

We do have deep backgrounds in all of the appropriate disciplines relating to design, construction, project management and business management. One of our key focus areas has always been education.

Elite has more “Certified” professionals on staff than any other Remodeler in the Greater Dallas/Fort Worth area.

In fact we are the only Professional Remodeler to have “on staff” a National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Certified Graduate Remodeler, from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) a Certified Remodeler and Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler AND from the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) a Certified Kitchen Designer and a Certified Bathroom Designer. By focusing on education, we are able to continually seek ways to improve our skills and construction processes and methodologies.

If I sign a design agreement, do I get to keep the design if I decide not to build the project with Elite Remodeling?

DESIGN SERVICES

No, you will not be able to keep a set of the design plans until we have mutually agreed to move forward as your builder. The designs we create are meant for developing your final contract amount with us and they are the first step towards getting your permits, once the design is finalized. They are not a “build set” which can be distributed for estimates from other contractors. We highly suggest contacting an architect if you are looking for an architectural build set of plans that you can distribute to contractors to get competitive bids.

What is the difference between an estimate and a design agreement?

DESIGN SERVICES

An estimate is free and is an educated price that is prepare for your project. If you are completing a major renovation (such as a whole house remodel or addition), the price is for the entire project. The price of the project may fluctuate as you move through the process of design.

A design agreement means you have selected Elite Remodeling as your renovation company but you are not quite sure yet on the design you want to build. The agreement is for the design portion only so we can come to an agreement of the design and final project price prior to signing a contract for the full contract amount.

Will I need to pay for a design agreement?

DESIGN SERVICES

Most kitchen and bathroom remodels are contracted without a design agreement. Design agreements are most typically used for major renovations of multiple rooms (such as a whole house remodel) or home addition projects.

How long will a kitchen remodel take?

The biggest variables in project duration are size, design and selections, and of course – construction. It’s no surprise that a big, complex remodel will take longer than a simple kitchen upgrade. At the initial meeting with our homeowner, the best way of providing the most accurate estimate of time to completion is to explain the process we follow every project. How do you handle mistakes or disagreements?

OUR PROCESS

It is wise and highly recommended to ask your kitchen contractor how disagreements will be handled before any work is started. Problems, or as we like to call them, “Hurdles,” can and likely will arise during a remodel. Furthermore, we are all human, and sometimes mistakes will be made.
